Abstracts & Oral Presentations Instructions

All primary authors must be registered with an Indico CELLS account. 

Once logged into the AMMW2018, please check that the data in your ACCOUNT profile is up to date, especially your e-mail address and affiliation.

All the abstracts received for AMMW2018 Workshop will be accepted as Oral presentations. However, the Local Committee reserves the right to reject an oral presentation. 

Submit your abstract(s) by clicking in the left menu "Submit Abstract".

Abstracts Classification
All contributions are grouped in topics. Please try to adjust as much as possible to this classification.

Abstract Tittle, Abstract Text, Special text and Footnotes
Enter the Title of the Contribution using Initial Capital Letters.
The text of the Abstract content should not exceed 1000 characters.
Please we request to the authors not to use special characters in orders to avoid miss of information or confusions. 
Footnotes should not exceed 100 characters. Enter references with a carriage return between each.

Abstract Author(s) and Co-Authors
When submitting your abstract, you can either add other co-authors and define who the presenter will be during the workshop.

Editing your abstract
After having "submitted" the abstract, a new window allows authors to print, edit, withdraw, and to enter co-authors and designate their roles:
Primary/submitting authors ( the persons normally contacted on concerning the program and the conference organization
presenter/Speaker (the person who would present the invited oral presentation)
co-author

 

Oral Presentations

In principle, Oral Presentations are expected to be 25 minutes long + 5 minutes for audience questions.

All presenters have to upload an electronic copy of their presentation in Microsoft Power Point or PDF format at latest one day prior to the scheduled session. To do so, you can either look for your contribution in the Timetable panel or in My Conference area and add the document.

Computer to be used and Software version available

Presentations are viewed using exclusively a computer managed by ALBA PC (not Macintosh available) located in the auditorium. 

The software version available is, Microsoft Office 2016 or Adobe Acrobat in the MS-Windows environment (authors using Macintosh must ensure that their presentations operate correctly using this version software).

Further recommendations

For PowerPoint files, only TrueType and OpenType fonts can be embedded. 

To embed fonts in PowerPoint 2016:
•    Select File tab.
•    Choose Options.
•    Under PowerPoint Options, choose Save.
•    Check the box for Embed fonts in the file
