Description

The FCT and the ALBA synchrotron signed on February 2019 a Collaboration Agreement aiming to strengthen the scientific collaboration between Portugal and Spain. This collaboration includes the funding of four postdoctoral positions that would be based at ALBA premises and would be involved in collaboration projects between Portuguese research centers or Universities and ALBA scientific sections.

FCT and ALBA will launch a joint call in 2021 in the following 4 strategic areas: Life Sciences, Catalysis, Batteries and Electronic materials and nanomagnetism.

The ALBA Synchrotron-FCT joint (online) meeting will offer a platform to meet potential Portuguese research group/ALBA scientific section partners for collaboration, in order to allow the Portuguese and Spanish scientific community to start developing collaborations in these strategic areas.
