Abstract

Present the APXPS project at ALBA, including in-house and collaboration research about in-situ spectroscopic characterization of Cu based catalysts.
In the first example, the influence of the ZrO2 crystal structure in the methanol steam reforming reaction was investigated by APXPS and other techniques using two different CuPd bimetallic catalysts supported respectively in cubic and in monoclinic polycrystalline zirconia. 
In the second example we studied the effect of the CeO2 support in the oxidation of methanol using Cu.
